About Us
Established in 1888 by German immigrants seeking their own house of worship, Zion Lutheran Church has spent over 135 years anchored in the Unaltered Augsburg Confession.
Today, we continue to move forward in our Savior's grace, delivering His certain peace through the Divine Service and the pure proclamation of the Gospel.

What We Believe
We are a congregation bound together in the fellowship of the Gospel, dedicated to the pure proclamation of God’s Word and the faithful administration of His holy Sacraments. A proud member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, we confess the historic Christian faith, anchoring our lives and our hope in the objective certainty of Jesus Christ crucified and risen for the forgiveness of your sins.
Solas
We confess the three great pillars of the scriptural Reformation: Sola Gratia (Grace alone), Sola Fide (Faith alone), and Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone).
By the working of the Holy Spirit through the Means of Grace, we are brought to trust in Jesus Christ alone, who fulfilled the Law on our behalf and suffered the punishment due to our sin.

The Book of Concord
As a congregation of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), we pledge our unconditional subscription to the Book of Concord because it is a true exposition of God’s Word.
From the simplicity of the Small Catechism to the defense of the Augsburg Confession, these symbols provide our hearers with clarity and doctrinal certainty.
Baptism
Holy Baptism is a life-giving water, rich in grace, and a washing of new birth in the Holy Spirit through which Christ Himself acts upon the sinner.
In this Sacrament, He drowns the old Adam, delivers believers from death, and clothes them in His own perfect righteousness.
Holy Communion
In the Divine Service, we believe, teach, and confess that the bread and wine are the very true Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, given and shed for us for the forgiveness of sins.
Because this holy meal is an intimate manifestation of our unity in doctrine, we practice closed Communion in accordance with our altar and pulpit fellowship.

Proud Member of
The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod

We joyfully proclaim Christ crucified for the forgiveness of sins, delivering His grace objectively through the Divine Service and faithful Word and Sacrament ministry.
